Ev-Truck Registrations

RTO registration data shows that Medium and Heavy-Duty Trucks (MHDT) in India lack specific schemes and policies for electrification, resulting in poor adoption status. While other electric vehicle (EV) segments have seen strong growth due to government incentives from FAME-1 and FAME-2 schemes, MHDTs have not benefited from such initiatives.
The Indian government has set ambitious targets for EV adoption across various segments but has not included trucks in these targets or subsidy provisions. As a result, there has been no significant progress in electrifying the trucking segment.
